There’s been a lot in the news about Government policy over the last few days. We’re glad to say that none of the proposals affect Heartland Community Wind – we have already got our preliminary accreditation in place for the Feed-in Tariff. At the same time we share the feeling expressed by many that removing subsidy for wind is an incredibly short-sighted move. Government figures show that a failure to invest in wind will actually result in higher electricity bills in the future – not that surprising when you consider how much our fuel costs!

We’ve been busy promoting the project far and wide – you may have seen us at the Climate Lobby in London and there’s still time to visit our stand at the Royal Highland Show – we’re with RM Energy at stand RENEW 27 in the Renewables Area until Sunday.  We’re getting a steady stream of new members  – come and join us.
