We’ve been busy promoting the project all around the UK – we were at the London Climate Lobby, then four days at the Royal Highland Show – lots of people stopped to talk to us, and it’s amazing how many had never heard of a wind co-op (or indeed any type of renewable energy co-op – we were also giving out flyers for our friends at Braemar Community Hydro).
An interesting piece in the Investors Chronicle came out yesterday mentioning us. It puts Heartland in context of some of the commercial wind funds – they cannot get EIS tax reliefs on renewables any more, but we still can as a community project.
Our next event is at the Energy Saving Expo at the Eden Centre in Inverness on 27 June, 11-4 – we will have a stall and are doing a talk, please do come by if you’re in the area.
