Heartland Community Wind held its first AGM today, 4 June 2016. There have quite a few issues that have needed to be ironed out since the mad rush to meet FiT deadlines back in December, but the turbines are now fully operational and at full export capacity. Members made their way up the hill to see for themselves – despite a flat calm down in the valley on this gorgeous day, the turbines were spinning in a fresh breeze and generating around 70 kW.
Thanks to Jeremy Thorp who steps down from the Board and a big welcome to our new elected Board members – Elizabeth Leighton and Jerry Evans – seen here looking at the meters in the power house which serves both turbines.
